Our system conversion to smart meters was completed in 2017. This means our members no longer have to read the meter on their property, even on our large Bosque County ranches - no more snakes, scorpions, frogs or spiders for you.
New Rates beginning in 2023
Listed below, you will find our price structure that begins in January 2023. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office and we will provide it for you.
Water billing is comprised of two parts: the Base Rate (based on meter size) and the Water Usage.
The Mustang Valley Water Tariff (rules governing the company) Section G7 sets out the billing rates as follows:

a. Base Rate
The monthly charge for standard metered water service is for a 5/8” by 3/4” meter. The Base Rate for larger meter sizes will be determined by the following multipliers.

b. Gallonage Charge - In addition to the Base Rate, a Gallonage Charge shall be added at the following rates for water usage during any one (1) billing period.

$ .00450 per gallon for 10,001 gallons to 20,000 gallons
$ .00550 per gallon for 20,001 gallons to 50,000 gallons
$ .00600 per gallon for 50,001 gallons and over

New 5/8" x 3/4" Meter - Standard Installation
| Standard installations mean our main line is already on your property, and we are just adding the company's water meter. We also install two tools that will belong to the you, the property owner. They are the PRV (Pressure Regulating Valve) and a Cut-off Valve. Non-Standard Installations involve extra work getting the line to your property. A cost analysis will be made for each different situation. |

Transfer of an Active MVWSC Account
| When you purchase a property an active Mustang Valley Water account, then the previous owner usually elects to sign a notarized form authorizing the transfer of their membership to you. The Buyer has 30 days to claim the membership by completing the Service Application and Agreement, and other docs as may apply. | Water is billed after it is used, so the buyer and seller can negotiate the payment of the bill following closing. |
